JOB FUNCTION:
The Portfolio Management Associate will support the Portfolio Management team with all aspects of portfolio management including research, portfolio management, trade execution, and assist with similar functions for the Jefferson Bank Trust department. This role is responsible for implementing investment decisions across client portfolios, including trade execution, portfolio rebalancing, cash management, and ensuring accurate account-level allocations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Place Mutual Fund, ETF, Equity, and Bond trades through trading system, custodial site, and alternative venues.
- Handle trade correction processing, reporting, and analysis.
- Handle incoming inquiries from advisor teams related to troubleshooting and review of complex account and data discrepancies.
- Review accounts as contributions, distributions, asset allocation changes or other changes occur to ensure accounts are in line with IPS.
- Monitor and audit cash balances.
- Assist PM team with trading support.
- Leverage financial planning tools to assist clients in crafting comprehensive retirement plans that align with their unique needs and aspirations.
- Assist with portfolio construction, with emphasis on executing necessary trades to implement necessary changes to the portfolio.
- Prepare investment performance reports and presentations as needed for client meetings and client responses.
- Work collaboratively with 1900 Wealth team members and across Jefferson Bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience
- 3-5 years in an investment role, ideally trading focused.
Preferred Experience (Optional)
- Prior exposure to wealth management.
Supervisory Experience
- N/A
Education/Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree: Finance/Economics preferred.
- Active Series 65 or willingness to obtain within first 90 days of employment.

- Must be able to hear and speak to communicate with employees and vendors.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull files up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for most of the day in front of a computer.
- Must be able to see computer screen to read and type on the keyboard.
Equipment/Machines/Software
- Advanced literacy in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Knowledge of YCharts and Bloomberg are a plus.
- Experience with Schwab Trading and Eclipse are a plus.
- Ability to work with office equipment such as copiers, scanners, shredders, etc.
- Experience with Co-Pilot and other approved AI tools a plus.
Position Includes Driving
- Driving is not an essential function of the position. However, this position requires regular on-site attendance at the assigned office location to perform the essential functions of the role.
