About this role
We are looking for an Environment & Land Use Associate with 5+ years of experience to join a well-established full-service law firm's Government, Land Use, Environment and Energy (GLUEE) Department in San Francisco. This is a high-impact role servicing existing client work across regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters — and candidates are hard to find, making this a unique opportunity to step into a critical position.
What will you be doing?
Handling regulatory, administrative, transactional, and litigation matters related to land development and natural resources
Working on CEQA/NEPA compliance, public lands, mining, air, water, and energy matters
Managing land use litigation including writs of mandate
Advising on project development and environmental permitting
Supporting real estate transactions with environmental and land use components
Key Requirements
5+ years of experience in land use or environmental law (wide range of experience levels considered if compensation aligns)
Admission to the State Bar of California
Prior experience in land use or environmental matters (required)
Excellent academic credentials
Ability to work 4 days in-office in San Francisco
