Job DetailsJob Location: Polk City, FL 33868Job Summary:

This position is responsible for driving and operating the company’s long and short-distance heavy trucks. In addition to driving, this role requires hands-on work, including the loading and unloading equipment and assisting field crews at job sites as needed.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials
Perform required before-, during-, and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports
Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition
Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
Understand, complete and manage required technical documentation
Drive heavy truck equipment on both short and long-distance routes as required
Ability to make overnight runs as required by shipping needs
Must be able to learn to operate all MHE used by the company
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
Ability to work flexible schedule to meet job requirements

QualificationsQualifications

CDL A required
1 or more year(s) experience as truck driver
High school diploma or equivalent required

Specific Expectations

The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to travel long-distance and overnight
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
