IRA Capital is seeking a highly motivated
and relationship-driven Director of Business Development – Healthcare / Health
Systems to lead and expand the firm’s partnerships with health systems,
hospital networks, and owners of healthcare real estate. This individual will
play a critical role in originating investment opportunities, including
sale-leasebacks, build-to-suit developments, and strategic real estate
partnerships, while managing and growing IRA’s existing network of
institutional relationships. This role is ideal for a professional with deep
industry relationships and a strong understanding of healthcare real estate who
thrives in a client-facing, originations-focused environment.
Requirements
• Build and manage relationships with health systems, hospital executives (CFOs, real estate heads), physician groups, and healthcare operators.
• Serve as primary point of contact for IRA's existing health system relationships.
• Source and originate sale-leaseback, joint venture, and build-to-suit opportunities, including off market deals, aligned with IRA's investment strategy.
• Develop and execute targeted BD strategy, mapping key health systems and managing the opportunity pipeline from contact through close.
• Partner with acquisitions, development, and capital markets teams to structure and advance transactions.
• Maintain current knowledge of healthcare real estate trends, capital markets, and regulatory considerations.
• Represent IRA at industry conferences and client meetings, positioning the firm as a preferred capital partner.
• Contribute to marketing materials and outreach strategies for institutional healthcare clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years in business development, acquisitions, or capital markets within healthcare real estate, commercial real estate, or investment management.
• Existing relationships with health systems, hospital executives, or healthcare operators, with a track record of sourcing sale-leaseback or build-to-suit transactions.
• Strong grasp of health system strategy, real estate ownership structures, and operator relationships.
• Excellent communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset and organizational skills to manage multiple relationships and opportunities at once.
