The Production Lead is committed to personal, project, and company success. This role supervises and coordinates the timely completion of manufactured products that represent safe, high-quality work delivered on schedule and within budget. The Production Lead effectively leads production crews in the construction of industrial panels, electrical prefabrication, modular solutions, skids, containers, and e-houses from layout through completion.
Key Responsibilities
SAFETY
• Leads by example in all safe work practices and ensures full compliance with PPE and safety procedures.
• Maintains clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas while holding the team accountable for safety expectations.
• Stops unsafe work immediately and addresses hazards, incidents, or near-misses appropriately.
• Promotes active safety engagement and psychological safety so team members feel comfortable raising concerns.
QUALITY
• Ensures manufactured products meet prints, specifications, and company quality standards from layout through completion.
• Reviews work throughout the production process to prevent defects and minimize rework.
• Maintains accurate documentation, pre-construction records, and manufacturing drawings.
• Collaborates with Design Services and internal partners to resolve quality or documentation issues.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
PRODUCTIVITY
• Supports production planning activities in coordination with supervisors and project leads to ensure materials, labor, and resources are available to meet project schedules.
• Coordinates daily work assignments and monitors progress to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Optimizes workflow and resource utilization while balancing safety and quality requirements.
• Communicates project status, risks, and completion expectations with Production Supervisors.
LEADERSHIP
• Effectively leads and motivates production crews of 15-20 employees through positive influence and accountability.
• Provides direction, coaching, and mentoring to support career advancement and skill development.
• Models and reinforces Interstates’ Core Values in daily interactions and decision-making.
• Creates an environment of trust, respect, and psychological safety where team members can contribute fully.
• Assists with onboarding and training new team members.
• Serves as primary point of contact on the floor during shift.

Education/Experience/Skills:
• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or
• Three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
