Production Superintendent, Elk Lake, Ontario

As a Production Superintendent at Interfor’s Elk Lake Division you will take on a high-impact leadership role guiding sawmill operations in a fast-paced, technical manufacturing environment. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned supervisor ready to grow with structured development, coaching and exposure to broader mill operations.

You will lead through the principles of Extreme Ownership building a culture where leaders take responsibility, support their teams and drive continuous improvement across safety, production and quality. 

What We Offer
Interfor provides a competitive salary based on experience, skills and qualifications with an expected range of $120,000 to $140,000 CAD per year. We’re committed to building careers where employees can contribute, grow and thrive.

Highlights of the Role

• Safety Leadership: Take responsibility for safety, performance and ensuring your team has the tools, clarity and support to work safely every day.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee sawmill operations with a focus on productivity, quality and cost control. Manage competing demands and maintain operational flow.
• Team Development: Coach supervisors, lead hands and operators empowering them to lead at their level while maintaining alignment with mill objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with maintenance, process control and sales teams to optimize value and outcome.
• Environmental Stewardship: Support environmental compliance including dust systems, storm water and process water management.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement initiatives and support capital projects using clear communication and clear plans ensuring alignment with senior leadership.

What You Offer

• Experience: 5-10 years in manufacturing operations, including 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Leadership Potential: Strong supervisory experience within manufacturing with the drive to grow into a senior operational role. You lead with humility, ownership and a willingness to learn.
• Manufacturing Knowledge: Solid understanding of sawmill or industrial manufacturing processes.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, consistently and simply ensuring alignment and shared understanding across teams with frequent follow up and follow through.
• Growth Mindset: Openness to coaching, development and applying leadership principles to elevate team performance. 
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and be willing to relocate to the Elk Lake area
