Description

Braid Operator

  • Set up and operate braiding machines that cover electric wire and cable with insulating material, such as cotton yarn, or metal 
  • Interpret instructions from sources such as the electronic shop work traveler
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as necessary
  • Will be required to work with production control and other associates to a rigorous production schedule

Laser Marker

  • Setup and operate machine software to process various wire part numbers
  • Adjust program variables to optimize wire processing
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks
  • Interpret instructions from sources such as electronic shop work traveler
  • Control material in accordance with the quality management system
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as necessary
  • Will be required to work with engineering, quality, production control and other associates to a rigorous production schedule

 

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent Some technical education preferred
  • Some working knowledge of Microsoft Windows
  • Demonstrate knowledge of computer driven equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pound spools of wire
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical processing errors
  • Some knowledge of Capri 100 and/or Capri 50 laser marking machine preferred
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Excellent Communication Skills 
  • Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision 
  • Must be detail oriented within a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be willing to take on new tasks and a changing environment 
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines 
  • Experience working in conformance with a quality system 
  • Dependable
