MAJOR FUNCTION
The Patient Flow Supervisor is responsible for overseeing real-time patient flow and bed management across the hospital system to ensure optimal capacity utilization. Operating from the Operations Intelligence Center (OIC), the Patient Flow Supervisor coordinates with clinical teams, leadership, and external partners to manage transfers, admissions, and discharges effectively. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain effective communication in a dynamic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree in a healthcare-related discipline (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN in a hospital or EMS setting required.
- Progressive nursing leadership roles required
- Experience working in a command center or centralized hospital operations setting (preferred).
- Experience in patient flow, bed management, or hospital operations (preferred)
- Experience in a leadership position preferred.
Certification/ Licensure:
- BLS required.
- NJ State RN License required.
