About this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and assesses damaged vehicles.
- Makes decisions on if the vehicle is repairable or a total loss based on damages.
- Runs total loss evaluations as needed on vehicles.
- Writes estimates using standard automotive labor and parts cost software and knowledge of automotive repair.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with automobile repair shop to secure agreement on cost of repairs.
- Communicates with insured and body shops.
Knowledge & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- 1-2 years of body shop or insurance experience.
- Knowledge of Estimatics software including CCC, Mitchell, and Audatex.
- Ability to negotiate in a variety of circumstances.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening skills.
- Effective utilization of computer systems and software.
