They focus on both commercial and personal lines of business with an emphasis on property programs for coastal and catastrophic wind exposed risks. They have partnered with some of the finest insurance carriers in America to offer unparalleled options to their clients. Their team has extensive experience in advising high net worth individuals and families in addition to a focus on commercial real estate insurance portfolio programs. Their expertise includes contract review, due diligence and risk management strategies while also directing the placement and servicing of complex coastal property insurance risks. The firm is expanding and this role comes with tremendous growth opportunity.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for a relationship-driven insurance professional who believes protecting clients is more important than pushing policies. As Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of property and casualty insurance clients. You will be responsible for managing renewals, endorsements, and certificates of insurance, coordinating with carriers on coverage placement and claims support, and ensuring clients receive timely, accurate service that supports retention and growth of the agency's book of business. Your key responsibilities may include:
- Manage and grow a book of both commercial and personal insurance clients
- Multi-line, cross-sell, and account round current clients
- Diligently work with new client inquiries
- Analyze risks and recommend appropriate coverage options
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication
- Respond timely to underwriting requests from insurance companies
- Agent and customer assistance with claims filing and processing
- Agent and customer assistance with billing and payment processes
- Serve as a trusted advisor
- Minimum of 2 years experience in insurance account management or a related field
- The role requires a valid P&C license. If not currently licensed, you must obtain your license within 30 days of your start date. The agency will assist with pre-licensing coursework and exam fees.
- Must be located in Charleston
- On-site work preferred, however a Hybrid (3-4 days in office) schedule will be considered after initial onboarding
This role starts with:
- $50-55k base salary
- 40% commission on new business (earning potential around $70-75k in year 1)
