Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials/items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined specification.
Generate purchase orders, transfers, usage reports, restock reports and requisitions via computerized system; determines items to be moved, gathered or distributed; prepares parcels for mailing.
Assembles customer orders and requisition requests from inventory and prepares orders for shipping.
Operates heavy machinery such as forklifts, unboxing equipment and racking machines to move and store equipment; uses shipping systems to enter and track shipment records.
Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to customer location or to pick up items from several locations for shipment; calls vendors or customers to coordinate shipping schedules.
Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
Maintains accurate inventory records through use of a computerized inventory system; adjusts inventory levels according to usage.
Forwards purchase receipts and invoices to accounting to ensure accurate billing.
Follows all warehouse safety and security policies and procedures; wears the proper safety equipment.
Maintains valid driver’s license at all times; may be required to earn forklift certification.
Responsible for warehouse building maintenance; sweeps, dusts and mops; changes light bulbs; organizes and/or cleans warehouse, parking lot and work area; cleans and maintains delivery vehicles.
Collects Styrofoam and operates Styrofoam recycling machine.
Regular, physical attendance on a predictable basis is essential to the performance of this job.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be highly organized and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking and time management.
Mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Technical and computer skills, with a demonstrated aptitude to acquire greater skills.
Must have eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools and equipment.
Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience required
