Position Summary

The Membership & Events Sales is responsible for driving membership growth and engagement across the Brazilian market by identifying new business opportunities, converting prospects into IAAPA members, increasing member retention, and promoting IAAPA's educational programs and events. This role serves as the primary commercial contact for members and prospects in Brazil while reporting and collaborating directly to the Latin America, Caribbean VP and team to achieve regional business objectives. This temporary position will work out of the IAAPA office based in Orlando, FL. 

 

Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Membership Sales

  • Prospect new companies through IAAPA's CRM, marketing-generated leads, referrals, and outbound outreach.
  • Conduct proactive sales calls, virtual meetings, and follow-up activities to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Present IAAPA's membership value proposition and close new memberships.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while achieving acquisition goals for the Brazilian market.

Membership Retention & Account Management

  • Manage membership renewal opportunities and proactively engage members approaching expiration.
  • Recover lapsed members through targeted retention strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with members by communicating IAAPA benefits, programs, and networking opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries and support requests.

Event Sales & Promotion

  • Promote and sell registrations for IAAPA events, educational programs, networking activities in Brazil, IAAPA Expo, IAAPA Explores, and other regional and global initiatives.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities between membership and event participation.
  • Support the successful execution of regional events through active commercial engagement.

Customer Service & Member Support

  • Respond promptly to inbound phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp inquiries from members and prospects.
  • Coordinate the resolution of member requests with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.
  • Deliver timely, professional, and solution-oriented service across all communication channels.

CRM Management & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date IAAPA Brazilian prospects CRM with follow up notes.
  • Track opportunities throughout the sales cycle and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Prepare sales, pipeline, renewal, and performance reports, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Regional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean team to align commercial initiatives, marketing campaigns, and member engagement activities.
  • Share market intelligence, customer feedback, and growth opportunities to support regional strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to the achievement of regional business goals.

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English, Spanish proficiency preferred.
