Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Journeyman
Department: Installation
Supervisor: Manager, Electrical Field Operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installing conduit and field mounted devices and pulling wire.
- Field and panel terminations on 480V,120V and 24V systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Read and understand blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Five years hands-on or Trade School is preferred.
- Must have knowledge of conveyor system field devices.
- Ability to Operate Forklift, scissor lift and boom lifts.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and follow basic instructions.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices.
Working Conditions:
- This is a 100% traveling position.
- 50 to 70 Hours per week, based on project schedule. Some night work required as needed.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Occasional climbing on ladders, steps, scaffolding and/or mezzanines.
- Sitting in and/or driving a vehicle for a long period of time.
- Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
- Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
