About this role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but other duties may be assigned.
Manage asphalt pricing system which includes pricing of more than 175 different asphalt product codes as it relates to over 150 different customers.
Manage customer billing accurately and within requested time according to the company’s requirements. Ensure the system’s billing data is consistently maintained and updated.
Manage, analyze, and prepare forms for billing corrections. Recommend improvements in billing/rebilling.
Work in conjunction with Territory Managers and Sales Directors to resolve customer issues as they relate to invoicing and pricing.
Perform and maintain customer/carrier setup in loading systems, updating insurance, maintaining projects and products to ensure compliance with HRC policies and practices.
Maintain database invoicing for rail and barge sales for HRC. Distribution/notification of payment due dates to customers while communicating with the Treasury Department to ensure timely payments.
Organize and file asphalt accounting documents, as needed.
Maintain various Excel reports and pivot tables that are necessary.
Provide tonnage reports as needed for Asphalt Institute.
Provide support to Asphalt Logistics Supervisor by understanding terminal footprint and capabilities.
Responsible for special projects and other related duties as they become known or required.
Communicate price changes to sales team for distribution to outside customers through formal means.
Coordinate bid activities ensuring HRC is compatible with mechanics of the bid solicitation and contract administration.
Distribute Cert A to Mississippi District Testing Engineers based on districts monthly.
Execute and submit monthly index quotes for various states. Perform collection/import of pricing related to individual indexes.
Assist in gathering and preparing requested documentation for internal and/or external auditors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting or Finance is required. Must be computer literate and accomplished in Microsoft products, preferably Excel and Word, and must be an effective communicator in both oral and written correspondence. This position requires the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced independent team environment.
