Position Overview
Huntleigh USA is currently seeking dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Full-Time Janitors to join our team at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of designated airport facilities while ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for passengers, employees, and airport visitors.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
Essential Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize airport terminals, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures.
Restock restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools safely.
Follow all company safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Report maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly.
Maintain assigned work areas in accordance with company and airport cleanliness standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent attendance and reliability.
Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and airport badging requirements.
Valid Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift.
Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying shifts as operational needs require.
