Job Summary
We are the Huntington Learning Center in Bay Ridge Brooklyn at 514 86th Street (2nd Floor). We are currently looking for a part time office administrator (experience a plus) that will also contribute to teaching as well. In this role, you will provide a variety of clerical and administrative support to our employees, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls and greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, planning meetings, and writing correspondence. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are a MUST. Timeframe for Thursday and Friday is between 3 pm and 8 pm. Saturdays and Sundays between 9 am and 3 pm. Schedule can change according to the needs of the business.
Must have your 4 year college degree, no exceptions (US accredited schools). Duties will include doing evaluations for our students, setting up appointments with parents, learning how to discuss progress reports with parents, adjusting student's programs if necessary, and being a key component in ensuring proper communication is administered to the staff at all times.
Teaching experience isn't a must, but is certainly preferred. Will also train you to how to tutor the students accordingly.

Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain relevant office procedures
- Create and maintain an organized filing system
- Greet and assist clients as they arrive
- Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate person
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendar
- Organize meetings and take accurate minutes
- Write emails, memos, and letters and distribute them appropriately
- Perform basic bookkeeping activities
- Contribute to company reports
- Address and resolve parents/teachers concerns with a professional attitude
Qualifications
- 4 Year college degree is mandatory, no exceptions.
- Previous experience as an Office Coordinator or in a similar position
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
- Familiarity with standard office equipment such as printers and fax machines
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
