JOB TITLE: Financial Controller
DEPARTMENT: Accounting Department
RESPONSIBLE TO: President/ CEO & Sr. Vice President & General Manager
JOB SUMMARY: To manage all areas relating to accounting and internal reporting for Cacique Intl. Group of Companies

PURPOSE
· Manage the daily operations which involve such items as monitoring cash balances, inventory, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
· Manage all other accounting activities including reconciliations, general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and budget and forecast activities.
· Manage all Government reporting requirements including VAT filings, Business Licence and Central Bank reporting.
· Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
· Manage the accounting team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
· Oversee Payroll and Benefits.
· Manage and oversee all computer related matters.
· Conduct weekly accounting meetings with the accounting team and be a part of any other meetings when requested to attend.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
· To maintain a smooth daily flow of all areas in the accounting department.
· To prepare monthly financial statements and ensure the timely and accurate reporting of the financial information.
· To prepare the annual budget and forecasting activities.
· To prepare annual review work papers and liaise with the Financial Consultants for the issuance of the annual reviewed financial statements.
- To manage all banking requirements including liaising with bankers for any banking facilities when required and obtaining all necessary Central Bank approvals pertaining to bank accounts.
· To prepare and ensure the monthly Government reporting requirements are filed in a timely and accurate manner.
· To manage the accounting team to ensure that work is properly allocated and work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
· To manage the accounting team to ensure that the Accounts Receivable balances are current and to ensure full collection of all outstanding and or aged Accounts Receivable balances.
· To manage the accounting team to ensure that Accounts Payable balances are current and reconciled on a monthly basis.
· To manage the accounting team and oversee the entire process of the daily and year-end inventory.
- To monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
· To assist with special projects and workflow process improvements.
· To handle and oversee all legal matters for the company relevant to non-payment by clients or other matters as mandated by the President/ CEO or Sr. Vice President & General Manager.
- To oversee and liaise with Human Resources regarding personal and administrative functions which include payroll, filing of National Insurance, group health insurance and pension.
· To manage and liaise with the computer technicians for all computer related issues.
· All other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, CPA or CA
· 5 plus years of experience, including two years of supervisory responsibility
· Working experience as a Financial Controller or equivalent in the Retail or Hospitality industry a plus
· QuickBooks knowledge is a must
· VAT processes and VAT Return filing knowledge is a must
· Experience in forecasting and budgeting.
· Strong organizational and management skills.
· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
· Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
· Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
