About this role

1. Treasury & Payment Management

  • Manage payment processing and cash disbursement activities, including payment preparation, approval coordination, bank execution, payment status monitoring and resolution of rejected or outstanding payments.
  • Handle day-to-day banking administration, bank transactions, direct debits, cheque-related matters and other treasury-related activities.
  • Monitor payment requirements and cash movements, support short-term cash planning and ensure sufficient funding for operational payments.
  • Review petty cash transactions and coordinate replenishment, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation, authorization and controls.
  • Monitor working capital metrics, including cash balances, payment cycles, and payable aging, and support initiatives to optimize working capital efficiency and cash utilization.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support cash flow forecasting, working capital planning, and timely resolution of payment and vendor-related issues.

2. Tax Compliance

  • Take ownership of finance-related tax compliance, including the preparation, reconciliation and coordination of input/output VAT tax, withholding tax, non-resident tax and corporate income tax matters, ensuring accurate and timely filing and payment.
  • Prepare and review tax-related journal entries, provisions, accruals, supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring balances are complete and reconciled to the general ledger.
  • Review transactions for potential tax implications and maintain complete tax records and supporting documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor relevant tax regulatory changes and coordinate responses to tax authority queries, inspections and audits, including liaison with external tax advisers where required.
  • Prepare and review tax, treasury and other assigned balance sheet reconciliations; investigate and resolve outstanding, aged or unusual items on a timely basis.

3. Accounting & Controlling

  • Manage lease-related accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities relating to treasury, banking, leases, expenses and taxation, ensuring timely and accurate accounting.
  • Administer necessary expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies, appropriate supporting documentation and timely processing.
  • Monitor and account for Welfare Committee expenses and maintain complete accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Review and monitor Promotion expenses to ensure spending is properly supported, accurately recorded, and aligned with approved budgets. Prepare Promotion Fund reports, variance analyses, and budget tracking schedules, and follow up on significant deviations from approved spending plans.
  • Maintain complete and accurate supporting records and ensure transactions are properly authorized, documented and processed in accordance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, banks, auditors, tax advisers and relevant government authorities on treasury, accounting and tax-related matters.
  • Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy and compliance.

4. E-Invoicing & Billing

  • Manage annual invoice number applications and digital certificate renewals for electronic invoicing.
  • Oversee invoice and credit note issuance, electronic invoice uploads and invoice journal validation.
  • Ensure e-invoicing activities are complete, accurate, timely and compliant with applicable statutory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in financial accounting, taxation, treasury or finance operations, preferably within a multinational or structured corporate environment.
  • Good working knowledge of input/output tax, withholding tax, non-resident tax, corporate income tax and related tax accounting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, payment processes, banking controls, reconciliations and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP and finance systems such as SAP, D365 or equivalent platforms is advantageous.
  • Professional accounting or tax qualification is an advantage.
