About this role

HouseCall is a leading provider of partnered information technology products and services for the U.S. Congress. We provide executive level, white-glove support, handling all IT needs from desktop support and network/systems administration to web and software development.

We are currently seeking highly-qualified applicants to help with installation and de-installation on Capitol Hill.

Applicants will need to multi-task assignments and prioritize tasks according to client needs and schedules.  Additionally, qualified candidates should be self-starters, highly motivated, and eager to contribute to the well-being of the organization while operating in a fast-paced environment.

Moving Coordinator                                            

  • working with the Client office in (i) completing a site survey of the entire Client office suite to be conducted prior to and in conjunction with the move-out, and (ii) making a record of all computer and office-related equipment;
  • surveying each piece of equipment to determine if it meets minimum inheritable standards;
  •  labeling each piece of equipment with an appropriate color-coded sticker;
  • de-installing computers and computer-related equipment in Washington, DC no later than one (1) business day prior to the scheduled move date;

De-installation: 

  • confirming backups of servers on the morning of a de-installation
  • powering down all computer equipment
  • disconnecting all computer and peripheral equipment

Re-Installation                                                                                                                                                       

  • installing computers and peripheral equipment in accordance with the approved final floor plan
  • reconnecting all workstations, printers, laptops, peripherals, network devices, servers and MFDs;
  • testing all file server and computer connections for connectivity;
  • troubleshooting or resolving any connection problems;
  • testing printing for each computer and printer, including any MFDs;
  • troubleshooting and fixing any printer, server and/or workstation problems
