Exercise Physiologist - Health Lab
The Exercise Physiologist will deliver individualized health and fitness assessments for a diverse adult population, with a strong emphasis on older adults, healthy aging, exercise prescription, and community wellness. This role combines exercise physiology with a highly interpersonal, community-facing approach - conducting assessments such as body composition, cardiovascular fitness, strength, balance, mobility, and human-performance testing; translating results into practical exercise recommendations; and helping participants connect with appropriate Hoag resources when needed. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in exercise physiology, confident working with individuals across a wide range of ages, abilities, and fitness levels, and, equally important, has the communication skills, approachability, and curiosity to build meaningful relationships with participants and the surrounding community.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field required.
- Previous experience in dysrhythmia detection and identification required.
- Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
- Experience with EKG monitoring/education preferred.
