About this role

Disability Coordinator

  •  Completion of forms submitted by patients in person, through email, or by fax. 
  • Completion of forms sent in by third party disability companies. 
  • Communicate with patients to help with disability questions/concerns, disability extensions, or to inform them that their forms are complete and ready for pickup. 
  • Send release of information forms to patients to ensure that we are HIPAA compliant when providing information to employers and third-party disability companies. 
  • Communicate with physicians regarding reasons for disability, extensions, etc. 
  • Communicate with third party disability companies to confirm delivery/surgery information, return to work dates, etc. 
  • Complete return to work notes. 
  • Submit billing claims for the collection of disability form(s) processing fees

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus healthcare database systems required
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field preferred
  • Minimum 0-2 years’ experience required.
  • Three (3) years’ administrative support experience in a corporate environment preferred
