Position: Property Maintenance Associate

Reports to: Property Maintenance Specialist

Position starts at $24 per hour. Final rate based on experience.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional weekend availability may be required based on business needs.

Job Title: Property Maintenance Associate

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting in maintenance of Hive Collective Properties

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC/air conditioning systems.
• Electrical – Perform basic electrical work, such as changing and hanging light fixtures, etc.
• Plumbing – Perform basic plumbing work, such as replacing or fixing faucets, toilets, sprinklers, etc.
• HVAC – Assist with basic maintenance and servicing of AC systems at all properties, including our commercial systems, as well as replacing window and split AC units. • General Basic Maintenance – Perform general maintenance, including minor carpentry, repairs, touch-ups, and painting.
• General Warehouse Support – When there are breaks in the above maintenance responsibilities, or during particularly critical periods, assist with general warehouse work, including organizing, minor moving, receiving, and shipping.
• Help support a well-organized warehouse by receiving and tagging products and conducting inventory as needed.
• Remain flexible and adaptable to support the needs of the business and assist with a variety of tasks as needed.
• Assist with Hive Collective deliveries when needed. • Ability to work safely and effectively in outdoor conditions, including during the summer heat.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. • Comfortable using ladders and working at elevated heights, including performing rooftop work when necessary.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in property, facilities, building, or general maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and performing routine maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, work independently, and know when to escalate more complex repairs.
• Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Willingness to assist with warehouse operations, deliveries, receiving, inventory, and other business needs as required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and work at elevated heights, including rooftops when necessary.
• Ability to work outdoors and in hot, humid, and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and perform hands-on work for extended periods.
• Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, materials, and products associated with maintenance and warehouse operations.
