Position Summary:

The Electrical Journeyman serves as a skilled field professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across a range of residential, multifamily, and commercial projects, upholding the highest standards of code compliance at both the local and national level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and mentor apprentices.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, control systems, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical testing instruments.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other trades.
  • Complete daily reports, work orders, and documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License
  • Minimum 4 years of field experience in electrical systems installation and repair.
  • Solid understanding of electrical code regulations (NEC and local codes).
  • OSHA 10/30 card and NFPA 70E Certification
  • Agility
  • Ability to lift 35-50 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs with a partner or mechanical help
  • Prolonged standing, walking, and moving across job sites.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching to access low installation areas.
  • Climbing ladders up to 40 feet and ability to maintain balance and footing.
  • Ability to maintain balance on uneven or cluttered job site surfaces.
    • Working in varying environmental conditions (heated, cold, confined).
    • Ability to work independently and in teams on construction sites or service calls.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.



Working Environment:

  • Will work on active construction sites.
  • May require overtime, weekends, and travel between job sites
  • Must wear appropriate PPE and always enforce safety rules.
  • Moderate noise level.
