Role and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first line of response for departmental phone calls, assisting clients with inquiries, addressing immediate concerns, and ensuring each call is directed to the appropriate personnel.
  • Greet all visitors upon arrival and direct to the appropriate departments when needed.
  • Monitor and respond to customer and internal emails promptly, maintaining a high level of professionalism and clear communication to address questions, resolve issues, and keep all parties informed.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of missing information and discrepancies, ensuring transparency and supporting efficient follow-up actions for all client-related data.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail, including receiving, recording, and distributing items to the correct persons or departments, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate documentation.
  • Follow all laboratory compliance requirements diligently when handling protected health information (PHI) to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPPA and regulatory standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Supports ongoing changes in a professional manner, contribute to a positive work environment and to the team effort of the laboratory.

Requirements

Minimum Educational Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

1 year front desk or client services experience. Previous medical field experience is preferred.

Skills Required

Lab Compliance, Microsoft Application, Typing proficiency of 50 WPM or higher, Record-Keeping and Documentation, Strong Customer Service skills, Effective Time Management skills.

Professional Certifications or Licenses

HIPPA
