Job DetailsJob Location: Columbus, OH 43213Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $114,400.00 - $143,520.00 SalaryJob Category: PharmaceuticalJob Summary: This position supports the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager in the following manner:

Greet patients, visitors and others upon entry
Safely, efficiently and accurately processes prescriptions through split verification (data entry/production)
Provides necessary consultations at pick up with patients

Reports to: Chief Pharmacy Officer

Supervises: Pharmacy technician staff

Dress Requirement: Business/Business casual or scrubs and a white lab coat in accordance to Heart of Ohio Family Health’s dress code policy

Work Schedule: 36 hours/week
Monday, Wednesday: 8 am – 5 pm
Tuesday, Thursday: 9 am – 8 pm
*Friday coverage requirement and schedule may vary throughout the year to ensure appropriate staffing

Monday through Friday during standard business hours

Times are subject to change due to business necessity

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Support of pharmacy services by assembling and dispensing medications in an efficient, accurate and patient-centered manner
Respond to requests from providers and patients via phone, computer and face-to-face interactions
Responsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all patients
Supervises technician staff
Provide MTM services as well as professional consultation when requested on a walk-in basis
Provide immunizations where recommended by ACIP, FDA Recommendation and the CDC
Assisting in the maintenance of records in accordance with company policy and state/federal law
Provide clinical pharmacy support which may include, but isn’t limited to, medication reconciliation, providing pharmacotherapy recommendations to providers, provide care coordination with primary care, behavioral health and specialty teams.
Inventory management which includes, but not limited to, annual controlled substance inventory and daily maintenance of in-stock medications and supplies
Non-sterile compounding
Attention to detail, analytical skills, admirable customer service and dependability is a must

Maintain compliance with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements and Heart of Ohio Health Relias training (and others as necessary)
Willingness and ability to travel between practicing sites, as needed

Facility Environment

Heart of Ohio Family Health operates in multiple locations, in Columbus, OH. All facilities have a medical office environment with front-desk reception area, separate patient examination rooms, nursing stations, pharmacy stock room, business offices, hallways and private toilet facilities.

This position’s primary work area is within the pharmacy on the second floor (elevator access on site).

maintains standard office equipment; i.e., computer, copier, fax machine, etc. at a normal working height

Qualifications Job Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy (required)
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (required) PharmD (preferred)
Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio (required)
Immunization certification (required)
CPR Certification (required)
Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience (preferred)
Knowledge of the 340B program (preferred)
Experience with Epic and PioneerRx software system (preferred)
Understanding of laws and regulations impacting the medication dispensing process preferred
Prefer an understanding of third-party payer benefits, the requirements and troubleshooting rejected claims
Has the ability to diffuse and handle difficult situations by using good judgment, control of emotion and diplomacy
Demonstrates grammatically-correct verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates efficient and courteous telephone skills
Demonstrates resilience, a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
