About this role
PURPOSE: To ensure tunnels, dryers and conveyors run at top efficiency.
JOB SUMMARY: Ensures the tunnel is loaded correctly and efficiently running. Starts and stops the water pumps, tunnel washer, press, shuttle, dryers, and conveyors. Reports any deficiencies to maintenance. Keeps work area clean of linen and trash. Maintains lint traps and lint collectors. Resolves computer alarms. Maintains proper level on tanks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be on time
- Have excellent attendance
- Have a good understanding of computers
- Be able to understand and reset equipment alarms
- Be able to identify linen types
- Meet established production standards
- Follow all company safety rules
- Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
- Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Possess and maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
- Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
- Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cross-train in other positions per production needs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day
- Sufficient manual dexterity to complete tasks
- Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling
