Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing woodworking equipment and facility systems in a continuous improvement–focused manufacturing environment. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient production operations. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on woodworking equipment
Diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs using manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery to ensure optimal operation
Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
CNC control troubleshooting experience preferred
Preventative Maintenance
Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules
Perform routine maintenance to improve equipment reliability and longevity
Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize production downtime
Facility & Building Maintenance
Perform general building maintenance and repairs
Maintain overall facility functionality and safety
Safety & Compliance
Follow and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Maintain a safe work environment at all times
Use proper PPE and follow all safety protocols
General Responsibilities
Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
Work independently or with minimal supervision
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability
Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with industrial or woodworking equipment preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
Basic computer skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail and safety
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and climb as needed
Use hands and arms to operate tools and equipment
Lift 50+ pounds as required
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Exposure to machinery, dust, and noise
Occasional exposure to mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
