Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Field Surveyor to serve as the critical link between our Sales, Engineering, and Production teams. This hands-on role performs comprehensive field surveys and site evaluations for commercial signage projects across the United States. The ideal candidate enjoys working on active construction sites, accurately capturing field conditions, operating equipment at heights, and translating real-world variables into clear data that enables successful fabrication and installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Field Surveyor ensures projects are set up for success through accurate fieldwork and clear communication:

Perform detailed field surveys and site evaluations for commercial signage projects nationwide, capturing precise measurements, identifying structural mounting points, documenting electrical access, and assessing installation feasibility.
Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project documents to verify field conditions and identify potential challenges before they reach the fabrication or installation phase.
Capture high-quality photographs and maintain organized digital records; upload survey data, markups, and findings for home-office review in a timely manner.
Coordinate with customers, general contractors, electricians, and installers during site visits; communicate field findings clearly to internal project teams.
Assist with or provide onsite supervision for smaller projects, punch list items, service work, and field troubleshooting as needed while supporting larger projects.
Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, cranes, swing stages, and other construction equipment; maintain all survey equipment, company vehicles, and field tools.
Travel to project sites throughout the United States (approximately 10–20 days per month, including extended trips up to two weeks) plus regular local travel within the Houston, San Antonio, and Austin area.
