Position Overview
Development Lead to provide software solutions using various technologies and frameworks at the USPTO. Work with Product Managers and cross functional teams to translate requirements and business objectives into complete features.
Strong background in development and deployment of enterprise application systems within AWS environment. Other responsibilities include: writing correct and efficient code using modern programming concepts; resolving activities across O&M and DME; performing code reviews; supporting Jr. developers; ensuring code quality through code reviews. There are times needed to troubleshoot Production issues and provide resolution in a timely manner and providing off hours support on rotating basis.
Core Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Leading and supporting other developers.
- Collaboration: Work with clients, key stakeholders, as well as cross functional teams.
- Technical Performance:
- Experience with a focus on Full stack software engineering, specializing in JAVA/J2EE technologies and comprehensive backend and frontend development.
- Skilled in designing and developing applications using Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful services, with significant roles in requirements gathering, design, development to integrate frontend development.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and AI technology using continuous integration and delivery methodologies.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field experience
- Experience: 10+ years
- Technical Proficiency:
- Languages: Java, J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML5, XML, CSS
- Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, MyBatis, AngularJS, jQuery, Apache Solr, Hadoop, JBoss, WebLogic, Oracle SOA/BPEL, SOAP & REST Web Services
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS (SQS, CloudFront, ALB, API Gateway), Terraform, Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Chef, SONAR, Git, SVN, JUnit, Splunk
- Databases: AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, Oracle 10g/11g, HBase, Vertica
- Compliance: Obtain Public Trust
Preferred Expertise
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and AI technology using continuous integration and delivery methodologies.
