Overview

The Quality Control Lead plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the quality control team, developing and implementing quality assurance protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. The Quality Control Lead collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly. By analyzing quality data and trends, this role helps to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance across all manufacturing stages. Ultimately, the Quality Control Lead ensures that the company consistently delivers products that meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
Proven experience leading teams and managing quality control processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the industry (e.g., FDA, ISO standards).
Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.
Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the quality control team to ensure effective execution of quality assurance activities.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and documentation in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes and finished products to identify defects or deviations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze quality metrics and generate detailed reports to inform management decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
Train and mentor quality control staff on best practices, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies related to product quality.
Drive initiatives to improve product quality, reduce waste, and optimize operational efficiency.
