About this role
About Clay
AI is unleashing the biggest wave of company creation in history. Clay's mission is to be the engine those companies use to grow to their full potential.
Clay predicts the next best action for your business and then helps you take it. We started by aggregating the best data for B2B companies. Then, we built the infrastructure to run any personalized campaign on top of it, including emails, ads, landing pages, and workflows that make reps more productive. Now, we're building agents that can help grow your company for you. We're already helping thousands of customers — including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Visa — go to market with unique data, signals, and AI research.
In 2026, we raised a $115M Series D at $7.1B Valuation led by Wellington — and are on track to cross $200M in revenue this quarter. We also launched a $1M Scholarship fund for GTME Education.
Some things to know about us:
Our community includes 17,000+ customers, 200+ integration partners, 125+ agencies, 50+ Clay clubs, and 30k members on Slack.

The Role:
We're looking for a full stack product engineer to build the products that help our self-serve and enterprise customers turn their growth ideas into reality. You'll play a key role in Clay's vision of being a creative tool that helps businesses grow — by owning real product surfaces across the stack.
You'll wear both PM and engineering hats: finding the problem, deciding what to build, shipping it fast, and staying close enough to customers to know whether it worked. There'll be no shortage of fun problems to explore and technical challenges to solve.
What You'll Do
Own the product, not just the tickets. Work with a team of engineers and cross-functional partners across design, data science, and GTM to define product strategy and drive execution through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance. You'll be accountable for the outcome, not the output.
Wear the PM hat. Frame the problem, write the spec, choose what to cut, and make the tradeoff calls. Nobody hands you a finished plan.
Get close to customers. Talk to them directly — sit in on calls, read the tickets, watch people build inside Clay. Our customers are technical, opinionated, and generous with feedback. Use it.
Ship fast and iterate. Small teams, short cycles, low process. We'd rather put a real version in customers' hands this month and learn from it than ship a perfect one next quarter.
Design and build full stack features. Work on a fast-paced team designing and building complex features that span both backend and frontend.
Up-level the codebase. Negative maintenance is one of the core values at Clay. You'll contribute to the performance and reliability of the Clay product and help increase the development velocity of other engineers.
Mentor and learn from other engineers. Help the team grow by mentoring other engineers in areas you're strong in. In return, you'll learn from engineers with different strengths.
What You'll Bring
You have a proven track record of execution. 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience building world-class products.
You love being a product manager as well as an engineer. Our product engineers drive and own products from end to end — including deciding what's worth building.
You move quickly without losing the plot. You're comfortable shipping something real before it's fully settled, and you know which corners are safe to cut and which aren't.
You want to be close to the customer. You'd rather spend an hour watching someone use the product than an hour theorizing about it. You can talk to customers, think through multiple approaches, and work with teammates to find the right solution for each problem.
You are an empathetic communicator. You express nuanced ideas clearly at different levels of abstraction for different audiences. In disagreements, you prioritize curiosity over confrontation, making sure everyone feels heard and understood.
You care about craft. You translate the solution into bug-free, easily understandable code and raise the engineering bar for those around you.
Having a diversity of perspectives is important to you. You believe that having people with different backgrounds and perspectives creates a better team and a more holistic product.
You're familiar with our current tech stack or can learn unfamiliar technologies quickly. Our current tech stack is:
React, Typescript, Python, Node.js
AWS services: Aurora (Postgres), Elasticache (Redis), Elastic Container Registry (ECR), ECS (Fargate), Lambda, OpenSearch
IaC: Terraform
Deployment tools: CircleCI, Netlify, Playwright
Observability tools: Cloudwatch, Datadog, Mezmo
