Job Summary

Under direct supervision, the Kids World Attendant is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children to preteens for our Club members, guests, and employees. They will participate in everyday activities such as organizing arts and crafts time, leading games, reading stories, and singing songs.

Duties/Responsibilities

Supervise and care for children in the center.
Perform regular duties of assigned “station” (gate, baby room, craft area, etc.)
Engage children in activities and active play.
Treat all children fairly, and pay special attention to newcomers, shy children, physically or mentally challenged children, or others with special needs.
Ensure environment is safe, clean, organized, and well-maintained; perform daily “housekeeping” duties.
Enforce all KidsWorld policies consistently and fairly.
Follow all KidsWorld operational procedures.
Know Club Sport’s standards and help ensure they are followed.
Assist in leading arts, crafts, story time, play and other activities.
Ensure proper check in and check out procedures are followed (with hourly, late and diaper fees collected as applicable)
Establish rapport with children and parents.
Promote and explain Club’s youth programs available (in person or over the phone)
Assist in transporting children to and from studio for kids’ classes.
Take proper care of all KidsWorld property, equipment, and supplies.
Other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the management.
Model and encourage good social skills, e.g. strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Monitor and report developmental or safety concerns.
May work junior program events, this includes weekends (Birthday Parties, Parent Night Out, etc)

QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities

Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers and parents or guardians.
Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages.
Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time.
Knowledge of childcare principles and procedures.
Ability to relate to children and make the childcare facility an enjoyable atmosphere.
Knowledge of early childhood teaching strategies.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required
At least one year of related experience required.
Certification in first aid and CPR required; must be maintained by obtaining recertification as necessary.
Must pass criminal background check.

Physical Requirements

Sit and stand for prolonged periods.
Bend, lift and carry babies, children, supplies, toys, equipment up to 40 lbs.
Push, pull play equipment and toys.
Project voice across crowded, noisy room
Climb and maneuver through jungle gyms and play areas.
Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses
