Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking an Operations Supervisor to assist in managing transportation and warehouse operations. This position supports the Director of Warehousing & Safety by coordinating daily warehouse and transportation activities, scheduling staff, maintaining efficient workflows, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in supporting productivity, fleet operations, inventory management, and overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, safety standards, and all required training requirements to meet CARF, Department of Labor, DOT, and other regulatory standards.

Maintain the authorized plant layout and efficient workflow processes to maximize productivity and labor utilization through the use of charts, records, and reports.

Coordinate employee, fleet, and dock schedules to ensure efficient loading and delivery operations involving company vehicles, vendors, salvage buyers, and common carriers.

Operate and maintain standard operating procedures for the Home Pickup program.

Maintain maintenance records for the fleet, forklifts, and warehouse equipment.

Work with managers and supervisors across departments to coordinate operational activities and support business needs.

Assist the Director of Warehousing & Safety with budget development, long-term planning, and operational strategy for assigned areas.

Maintain operational data, including production, time, and cost records.

Order, inventory, and manage materials, supplies, equipment parts, repair services, and vendor services.

Coordinate transportation services outside normal operations to meet business requirements.

Monitor warehouse space utilization, coordinate movements between satellite facilities, and manage trailer rentals and returns to maximize cost savings.

Work in conjunction with the Salvage Supervisor to provide departmental coverage as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Three years of related experience preferred, including one year of supervisory experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to coach, train, and evaluate staff through meetings, one-on-one discussions, and performance evaluations.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and business partners at all levels.

Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret operational data and create tracking and management reports.

Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and apply standard formulas to calculate departmental needs.

Ability to operate a forklift.

Negotiation skills.

Knowledge of loading and unloading trucks and maintaining production equipment and machinery.

Excellent telephone and communication skills.

Ability to perform physical labor, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work a flexible schedule.
