Summary
The Human Resources Generalist provides excellent customer service while executing human resource policies, procedures, and processes. Supports employees and manages with any human resource related needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops a core understanding of the business and utilizes information to perform as a resource to all areas of the organization.
- Plans and participates in new employee orientation to foster positive attitudes toward company goals; manages the on-boarding process.
- Consults with Director, Human Resources regarding employee relations, performance improvement, corrective counseling, and other human resource issues as needed.
- Administers pay systems and programs. Serves as approver of routine payroll actions involving pay adjustments, within scope of policy.
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert for Dayforce HCM system by being key user of the system as well as key contact for employees and managers for system issues or questions. Provides HCM training to new users.
- Assists with the consistent interpretation, application, and execution of HR programs, policies, and procedures.
- Manages various Human Resource related projects.
- Acts as backup in Manager, Human Resources absence.
- Will assist with any HR reporting and data analytics.
- Complies with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years in Generalist role required.

- Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. If at any time the employee is unable to maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to GESMV’s liability insurance provider, they must immediately notify Human Resources.
- Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.

- Experience of handling complex employee relations situations
- Mature judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results
