Unarmed Security Officers - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift

Goodwill Columbus is looking for friendly, reliable Unarmed Security Officers to help keep our business partner’s facilities safe and welcoming. In this role, you'll be the first-person visitors see, provide excellent customer service, and help create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and clients.

 Pay, Schedule & Location 

• Pay: $16 to $19/hour 

• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) 

• Location: Columbus, OH (Metro Area) 

 What You'll Do

• Greet visitors, employees, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Check identification and control access to the building.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and activity throughout the facility.
• Patrol assigned areas and stay alert to safety and security concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents as needed.
• Complete security logs and other required documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and help direct visitors to the right location.
• Help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone.

What We're Looking For

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional, dependable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Previous security experience is a plus.
• Stable work history with a record of reliability and attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience may include security, loss prevention, military service, or similar roles.
• Ability to write clear reports and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Monitor facilities and security cameras.
• Move through out assigned areas as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and safety concerns.
