Reports To: Store Leader / Assistant Store Leader
Status: Regular Hourly
About the Role
The Retail Supervisor supports daily store operations while leading a team of Retail Associates to deliver an exceptional customer and donor experience. This hands-on leadership role helps drive sales, donation processing, merchandise presentation, team performance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and support Retail Associates during daily operations.
- Deliver outstanding customer and donor service and help resolve concerns.
- Monitor sales floor activity, donation processing, merchandising, and store presentation.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, cash-handling procedures, and safety standards.
- Help prevent loss, protect company assets, and report operational concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming store environment.
- Open and close the store and oversee operations in the absence of store leadership.
- Support achievement of sales, production, and customer service goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of retail experience required.
- Previous supervisory, leadership, or keyholder experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
- Comfortable using POS systems, basic computer applications, and cash-handling procedures.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly; occasional heavier lifting may be required.
- Ability to operate a computer, cash register, and other retail equipment.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Work Environment
Retail store environment with moderate noise levels and frequent interaction with customers, donors, employees, and donated merchandise.
