About this role
Under general supervision, this position provides training, onboarding, and ongoing support to newly hired loan officers. This role assists loan officers in developing proficiency with mortgage systems, workflows, products, and investor guidelines to support successful loan origination and delivery.

Responsibilities
- Train and support new loan officers on mortgage systems and platforms, including Encompass, Optimal Blue, nCino, Guideline Guru, and other related tools.
- Provide training on Bell's mortgage workflow, processes, service expectations, and timelines from application through closing.
- Assist loan officers with key origination activities, including application intake, credit ordering, automated verifications, AUS submissions, appraisal and title ordering, and closing coordination.
- Guide loan officers through mortgage pricing scenarios and product selection using Optimal Blue.
- Train loan officers on Bell mortgage products, niche lending programs, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between new loan officers and internal departments, including Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Compliance, and Secondary Marketing.
- Maintain knowledge of mortgage industry trends, lending programs, and process updates to support ongoing training and development.

Education, Experience, and Other Expectations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- 2-4 years of mortgage banking experience required.
- Previous experience in mortgage origination, processing, underwriting, sales support, or training preferred.
- NMLS registration required or ability to obtain and maintain registration.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of mortgage lending operations, agency and government loan programs, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with mortgage origination systems and related technology platforms.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
