Student Worker or Temp (Regent Life Coach)
About this role
This position helps support student success by assisting with coaching operations, facilitating and organizing administrative processes, and presenting at workshops, special events, and other student-centered efforts.
Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Responsibilities:
- Support Regent undergraduate through doctoral students in one-on-one and in small groups utilizing skills learned through Regent Life Coaching training
- Assist in the creation, development, and delivery of online and on-campus student success and career services programs and resources that have a coaching-related focus
- Provide administrative support, including emails, phone calls, appointment scheduling, etc.
- Participate in team-wide training and meetings
- Assist in the collaborative efforts within the Center for Student Happiness as well as other departments in Student Life
- Provide administrative support to the various Center for Student Happiness teams, contributing to ongoing departmental initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- A suitable background in coaching, excellent listening skills, and high emotional intelligence
- Able to communicate to a wide audience and teach concepts clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with broader team
- Adaptable to changing circumstances and be able to think quickly in open discussion environments
- Exhibit a professional Christian work ethic at all times
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas, Google Meets and able to learn other technologies
Salary: $12.77 - $15.00 per hour
