Compensation
Base salary: $20.50-$25.23/hour
Annual Bonus Potential: 3%
Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by accurately receiving, storing, and shipping products while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining an organized workflow. This role unloads and inspects incoming materials, prepares customer orders for shipment, operates forklifts and other warehouse equipment, and transports products and materials between the manufacturing plant and Distribution Center by operating a 24-foot box truck, completing multiple trips per day. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting production and distribution requirements, and promoting a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while meeting quality and productivity standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Unload inbound trailers and receive incoming materials.
- Sign for deliveries and inspect products for damage, accuracy, and quality.
- Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate material locations in SAP.
- Put away received materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pull materials and customer orders from pick lists.
- Scan inventory and shipments using RF scanning equipment.
- Verify order accuracy and inventory counts.
- Assemble pallets and prepare shipments according to established procedures.
- Wrap, label, and stage outbound shipments.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Pull materials for production and support inventory replenishment activities.
- Operate a company box truck to transport products and materials between the manufacturing plant and Distribution Center up to four times per day, ensuring timely movement of materials and finished goods to support operational requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and warehouse equipment. Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
