The Internet Sales Associate is responsible for managing incoming leads from start to finish with the primary goal of setting appointments and converting them into vehicle sales. This role combines both BDC and sales responsibilities, requiring strong communication, follow-up, and closing skills. This position is considered a promotion from the sales floor and offers strong growth potential within the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
Handle all incoming internet leads, phone inquiries, and text communications
Engage customers through calls, texts, and emails with the goal of setting appointments
Build value in the dealership experience and overcome objections using effective communication (ARP: Acknowledge, Respond, Pivot)
Maintain consistent and timely follow-up on all prospects
Log all customer interactions accurately in the CRM
Confirm and prepare appointments to ensure a smooth in-store experience
Transition from appointment setting to in-store sales and close deals
Work closely with management and team members to maximize opportunities and performance
QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
Proven sales experience, preferably in automotive or a high-volume sales environment
Strong follow-up skills with the ability to stay consistent across calls, texts, and emails
Excellent communication and objection-handling skills
Ability to build value and guide customers toward setting an appointment
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership over leads and performance
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
Coachable, competitive, and driven to improve
Expectations

Timely responses to all inbound leads and customer inquiries
Strong appointment-setting performance
