Description

The Production Analyst supports operational performance within the FAA Part 145 repair station by analyzing workflow, production output, turnaround time (TAT), labor utilization, material availability, and operational bottlenecks. This role acts as a bridge between Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Support to improve throughput, reduce delays, and enhance on-time delivery performance.

The ideal candidate is analytical, process-oriented, and capable of converting operational data into actionable insights that improve repair station efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Essential Duties: 

  

Production Planning & Monitoring

  • Monitor daily production flow across repair, inspection, testing, and assembly operations
  • Track unit status, queue times, WIP (Work in Process), and production aging
  • Analyze operational bottlenecks impacting turnaround time and throughput
  • Assist leadership in prioritizing production schedules based on customer demand, AOG requirements, an delivery commitments
  • Support capacity planning and labor loading activities

  

Operational Performance Analysis

  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to: Turnaround Time (TAT) o On-Time Delivery (OTD) o Labor Efficiency, Queue Time, Throughput, Scrap/Rework, Technician Utilization, Quote Cycle Time and BER Rates
  • Identify trends, recurring delays, and productivity gaps
  • Provide weekly and monthly operational reporting to leadership

  

Data & Systems Management

  • Extract and analyze data from ERP/MRO systems - Quantum & Back Office
  • Drive the development of dashboards and reports using: Microsoft Excel and Power Bl
  • Ensure production data accuracy and reporting consistency

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance,  Supply Chain, Customer Support and Engineering
  • Assist in resolving material shortages, workflow constraints, and scheduling conflicts 
  • Support escalation management for AOG and critical customer requirements

Continuous Improvement

  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities 
  • Identify opportunities to: Reduce queue time, Improve workflow velocity, Standardize reporting, Optimize labor allocation and Improve inventory alignment with demand
  • Support implementation of digital transformation and Al-driven operational tools where applicable

Experience, Skills and Qualification: 

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in:
  • Aerospace manufacturing
  • FAA Part 145 repair station operations 
  • Aviation aftermarket
  • Industrial production analysis
  • Experience working in high-mix, low-volume operational environments preferred

Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Experience with ERP/MRO systems strongly preferred
  • Power BI, or dashboard development experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Understanding of FAA Part 145 operational environments preferred

  

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in: Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management or Data Analytics
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
