About this role
We are looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel with 8+ years of experience who is genuinely exceptional at commercial contracts work and excited about using AI to reshape how legal services are delivered. You'll join an AI-native law firm that operates like a startup where you can do high-caliber legal work, contribute to building innovative legal products, and log off at the end of the day feeling good about what you accomplished.
What will you be doing?
Owning complex commercial transactions end-to-end (SaaS, technology agreements, vendor/partner agreements, IP licenses) with a focus on speed and quality
Leveraging AI-native tools as a force multiplier to compress timelines and raise work product quality
Contributing to product development by giving feedback, building playbooks, and helping scale your expertise across the firm
Advising a range of clients from pre-seed founders to public companies on commercial risk and contract strategy
Working shift-based coverage (with preference for Central/Pacific time zones) to ensure client needs are met efficiently
Key Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school with active U.S. bar membership in good standing
8+ years of strong commercial contracts experience, ideally at a top-tier firm or advising technology/high-growth companies
Currently using AI tools in legal practice (not theoretically—actively leveraging legal tech today)
Strong client-facing demeanor- warm, articulate, and able to correspond with clients in a welcoming, professional way
Builder mindset with scrappiness to thrive in a startup environment and contribute beyond core legal work
