About this role
We are looking for an Associate Commercial Counsel with 3-5 years of experience to join a fast-growing, AI-native law firm that's reimagining how commercial contract work gets done. You'll draft, review, and negotiate technology agreements at high volume — without billable hours - while contributing to the product and processes that make this new model possible.
What will you be doing?
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of SaaS, vendor, licensing, and commercial technology agreements end to end
Using AI-native legal tools daily to accelerate drafting, review, and issue-spotting while maintaining quality
Advising clients directly on commercial risk and contract strategy with clear, plain-language communication
Contributing to knowledge management, playbooks, and product feedback to help scale the firm's capabilities
Working shift-based coverage (preference for Central or Pacific time zones) to support client needs across business hours
Key Requirements
JD from an accredited law school (T-14 preferred) with active U.S. bar membership in good standing
3-5 years of experience in commercial contracts, technology transactions, or another drafting-heavy practice area (BigLaw or startup background preferred)
Genuine interest in and current use of AI tools in legal practice — not theoretical, but hands-on
Strong client-facing demeanor — warm, articulate, and comfortable advising business stakeholders directly
Scrappy, builder mindset — excited to contribute beyond just turning contracts and willing to wear multiple hats at a startup
