Description

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an outstanding opportunity for a Manager of Clinical Admissions who will lead a team responsible for performing level of care assessments and coordinating admissions to residential levels of care within the Gateway system.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees workflows ensuring proper level of care placement, accurate diagnosing, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintains ongoing oversight of 3.7WM, 3.7 and 3.5 inpatient census and bed availability; maintains and updates the daily schedule of admission appointments; coordinates census with clinical and nursing departments.
  • Develops and manages the CAS schedules.
  • Facilitates case consultation, and individual and group supervision with the Clinical Specialists.
  • Provides external customer service to referral sources; communicates with the Marketing Department regarding issues concerning current or potential referral sources.
  • Collaborates with clinical mangers/supervisors, Nursing, Billing, and other departments as needed.
  • Provides coverage and support for Clinical Specialists as needed.
  • Audits the documentation of the Clinical Specialists.
  • Develops success targets for the Clinical Specialists.
  • Participates in group team meetings.
  • Attends GRC mandatory in-services and trainings.
  • Intervenes and documents appropriately when an employee demonstrates poor work performance.
  • Oversees training of new Clinical Specialists.
  • Conducts audits of current Clinical Specialists’ evaluations and assessments ensuring quality within the evaluation, consistency in process among evaluators/sites and appropriateness of recommendations.
  • Available for clinical consultations as needed by evaluation staff.
  • Performs other job duties, as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Case management skills.
  • Understanding of and ability to assess mental health issues.
  • Public relations and public speaking abilities are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and organization skills.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Teamwork is critical to success in this position.

Requirements

 What Do We Require?

  • Bachelor's degree in a field that meets Pennsylvania Department of Health staffing qualification regulations.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a health or human services agency.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working directly with chemically dependent individuals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Pennsylvania Certification Board certification or licensure eligibility a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Pass a PA Criminal Background Check.
  • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
  • Pass Drug Screen.
  • 2-Step TB Test. 

Work Conditions

  • Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center.
  • Largely favorable working conditions but position includes local travel and evening work hours.
  • Minimal physical demands.
  • Significant mental demands include interviewing, investigating, and diagnosing.
