About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing crematory equipment and facility systems across multiple locations. This is a dynamic, travel-heavy role where your expertise ensures operational excellence, safety, and reliability.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot crematory machinery and building systems
  • Diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Repair or replace worn components before breakdowns occur
  • Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools to complete repairs
  • Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints to plan work
  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
  • Order parts and supplies as needed
  • Provide recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Train on-site staff on basic maintenance and efficient machine operation
  • Support general facility maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or trade/technical certification
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (HVAC, controls, PLCs, refractory, or similar)
  • Hands on boiler experience
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80%
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs
