About this role

We are GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), a growing international jet engine MRO located at Helsinki Airport, Finland. We are looking for a Team Lead to join our international Hospital Shop Visit team (SPAH), that handles quick-turnaround engine shop visits involving inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting.

As Team Lead, you will lead the SPAH Inspection Team, which is responsible for all engine incoming and outgoing inspection tasks. You will plan, coordinate, and execute the work together with your team to ensure quality and efficiency.

While your main base will be at our GATES facility, you’ll occasionally travel to customer sites to perform engine maintenance—whether that’s on-wing or off-wing, inside a hangar, or out on the apron. Hospital visits are usually unscheduled and fast-paced, so we’re looking for someone who can stay flexible and adapt quickly. This is a two-shift role and may require working outside regular hours, depending on the SPAH Production situation.

  • Perform borescope and engine visual inspections
  • Plan investments and maintenance for the tooling of your department
  • Create inspection reports for customers and be the point of contact for questions they have
  • Participate in internal & cross department meetings, provide updates regarding the ongoing work

  • Minimum 5 years of experience on CFM56-5B/-7B engine types in line maintenance/operator environment. CF6-80C2 engine experience is considered a plus
  • Good knowledge and understanding of AMM inspections
  • Solid experience in borescope inspections
  • Familiar with engine visual and special procedure inspections
  • Ability to manage multiple work orders at the same time together with the team.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken (Finnish is a plus).
  • Proactive mindset with a strong problem-solving attitude and goal-oriented approach.
