Job DetailsJob Location: Indianapolis, IN 46254Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 Salary/yearGardant is seeking a Regional Director of Ancillary Services to oversee and support culinary and facilities/maintenance operations across assigned Gardant Communities. This role ensures communities maintain safe, well-functioning physical plants and deliver high-quality dining experiences in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Provides training and in-services at community locations to enhance the quality and upkeep of both facilities and culinary programs
Helps establish and monitor effective preventative maintenance programs across all assigned communities
Reviews and oversees the TELS System for assigned communities to ensure compliance and follow-through
Assists in ensuring all routine maintenance, menus, and standardized recipes are consistently followed
Fills in at communities during position vacancies or director absences in both maintenance and culinary capacities
Reviews budget reports at each community to monitor compliance and address variances
Manages and approves weekly community food service orders and monitors supply ordering from approved vendors
Works with Culinary Directors to teach and implement menu and inventory programs
Assists with interviewing and onboarding community Culinary Directors
Consults with the Registered Dietician on a quarterly basis and as needed to ensure nutritional adequacy and therapeutic diet compliance
Reviews and oversees completion of fire and disaster drills in accordance with facility policies
Continuously evaluates new methods, products, and procedures to upgrade service standards across communities
Consults with the VP of Construction as needed during new community start-ups, and assists with FF&E
Promotes and maintains a safe working environment in adherence to facility safety programs at all times

QualificationsQualifications

Minimum of 5 years of multi-site management experience in culinary and/or facilities management, preferably in Assisted Living or Senior Living Communities
Successful completion of a food sanitation course required
Must possess working knowledge and ability to perform the duties of a Director of Maintenance, Culinary Director, and related positions
Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations pertaining to dietary services, maintenance, utilities, and housekeeping
Solid budgeting, general accounting, and fiscal management experience across multiple communities
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences, negotiate conflicts, and interpret government regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as TELS and DSSI ordering platforms
Ability to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities on any given day, often under pressure
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company insurance requirements
