About the Role
Investment Banking Analysts are critical to our ability to provide high-touch advisory services to our clients and are heavily involved in pitch activity and transaction execution, working directly with senior bankers throughout the full transaction lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and explain financial and operational information of companies operating in Galava's coverage sectors
- Perform valuations of companies using standard valuation methodologies
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute sell-side and buy-side M&A and debt and equity capital markets transactions
- Prepare and maintain financial models (including LBO and DCF models), confidential information memoranda, management presentations, buyer and investor lists, and marketing pitch materials
- Conduct and explain extensive industry, market, and company-specific research
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree with a strong academic record (Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred)
- A high level of personal integrity, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and application
- A defined proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of prior investment banking, transaction advisory services, credit underwriting, or finance operations experience
- Strong interest, knowledge, or work experience in Galava's coverage sectors
- Exceptional financial modeling, data analysis, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

This role is eligible to earn performance-based compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
