Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Development Manager to lead merchandising strategies across multiple store locations throughout New York, the Metro Area, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. This role will be responsible for maintaining consistent brand presentation, supporting store teams, analyzing retail performance, and leading merchandising staff across the region. The ideal candidate has strong department store and retail management experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to drive customer experience and sales performance across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional merchandising strategies aligned with brand guidelines to ensure consistent store presentation.
- Collaborate with store managers and store staff to execute merchandising strategies and maintain brand standards.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate merchandising standards, provide training, and ensure adherence to retail procedures.
- Lead and provide guidance to merchandising staff across the assigned region.
- Analyze sales data and retail math to identify opportunities to improve overall store performance.
- Monitor retail sales performance metrics and customer service standards across assigned locations.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate display updates, seasonal changes, and other merchandising initiatives to ensure deadlines are met.
- Apply knowledge of planograms and store operations to support effective merchandising execution.
- Partner with store teams to identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Manage multiple regional projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support to store teams to strengthen merchandising execution and business performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
- 4+ years of retail management experience required.
- Department store experience required.
- Management experience required.
- Strong understanding of retail store operations, merchandising, branding principles, and planograms.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, sales analysis, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.

The salary for this position starts at: $70,000 - $75,000 per year.
