Shift: Availability (Weekends required)
Position Summary:
The Dining Services Dishwasher completes cleaning and sanitizing of any and all food service-related dishes, utensils, and serve ware, for the Dining Services department by performing the following duties.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years dishwashing/food service experience (Required).
- High school diploma or GED (Required).
- Previous Healthcare/Senior Living experience a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes, including but not limited to plates, cups, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, serve ware, hot plates, trays, and other utensils.
- Manages time to ensure all areas of responsibility are completed prior to the next meal to ensure meals are consistently served on the assigned schedule in any given area. For example, dishes are washed, dried, and put away timely.
- Checks and records temperatures and/or PPM of sanitizer solution as designated.
- Assures dishwashing tasks meet the demands of meal serving schedule and occasional catering events.
- Promptly transport food carts to designated areas within the facility, ensuring that they are immediately passed off to a Caregiver, ensuring food is served to the residents at the proper temperature.
- Buses in dining rooms as needed.
- Cleans and sanitizes food transport carts and hall carts.
- Pay careful attention to avoid dishware breakage and loss, reports it when it happens.
- Removes garbage and recycle from kitchen and dishwasher room to designated disposal areas.
- Keeps equipment, work areas and food carts in safe and sanitary condition. Reports any equipment or safety concerns to supervisor.
- Maintains organization, cleanliness and sanitization of their work area. This may include duties such as taking out trash, sweeping, mopping and other duties as assigned.
- Completes daily cleaning duty. Check with supervisor on additional cleaning assignment if all designated tasks and breaks have been completed for the day

Upon acceptance of an offer, candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, reference checks, and background check prior to starting work with eliseo. Upon first day of hire, all staff are required to provide documentation of influenza vaccination (Seasonally for Influenza). Additionally, all staff will undergo tuberculosis testing upon their first day and annually.
